1. What this covers
These terms govern access to the XODIAK network, its RPC interfaces, the bridge, and this website. Using any of them means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming that you can bind it.
2. What we provide
Access to a settlement network that records transactions, executes registered revenue models and maintains a hash-linked record. We provide infrastructure. We do not provide legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, and nothing on this site is any of those.
3. What we are not
XODIAK is not a bank, a money transmitter, a broker-dealer, an investment adviser, a transfer agent, a custodian of fiat funds or an exchange. We do not take deposits and we do not hold client money on trust. Where your use of the network requires a licence in your jurisdiction, obtaining it is your responsibility.
4. Your account
You are responsible for your keys. A transaction signed with your key is your transaction. We cannot reverse a committed transaction, and neither can anyone else. That is the point of the network, and it is a real risk you are accepting.
5. Restricted and prohibited uses
You may not use XODIAK to settle, disguise or facilitate:
- Anything unlawful in any jurisdiction that touches the transaction.
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or evasion of sanctions or export controls.
- Transactions with sanctioned persons, entities or territories.
- Fraud, including misrepresenting who a counterparty is or what a payment is for.
- Unregistered securities offerings, or a tokenization that requires a registration you do not hold.
- Trafficking of any kind, sale of stolen goods, or the proceeds of ransomware or extortion.
- Structuring transactions to evade a reporting threshold or a verification tier.
We will suspend access where we believe on reasonable grounds that any of the above is happening, and we will report where we are required to.
6. Verification
Access to transacting, voting and custody depends on your verification tier. We may require evidence, re-verification, or a higher tier before permitting an action, and we may decline to raise a tier without giving reasons where disclosure would itself be unlawful.
7. Fees
Fees are those in your order or agreement. We will give notice before a change takes effect. Network protocol parameters, including the block reward and minimum stake, are governed on chain and can change through the governance process.
8. Availability
We do not promise uninterrupted availability unless a separate agreement says so and states a number. Where the network is not producing blocks, committed history remains readable and verifiable. Our current network state is published at /status and we keep it accurate even when it is unflattering.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Termination
Either of us may end the relationship on notice. We may suspend immediately where section 5 applies or where continued access presents a legal or security risk. Committed chain records survive termination, because they cannot do otherwise.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be dated here and notified to account holders. Continuing to use the network after that is acceptance.
